  • Another winner, Dave, but this one merits a comment because we all need coaching.

    I’m reminded of Geoff Colvin’s compelling thesis in Talent is Overrated where he posits that “disciplined practice” is a critical foundation but only the starting point for performance greatness. To pass through and beyond one’s normal performance equilibrium one must be both observed (imagine the wrestling coach kneeling on the mat or the swim coach walking alongside the pool) and one must get feedback.
