    Needed to read this today.

Realizing the need for patience, but not wanting it.

  • Now there’s a grounded perspective, Mr. Goetz! I miss my local bookstore as much as the next fellow, but babies rarely get thrown out with bathwater – there are reasons things change. However, fundamentals don’t change that much, that fast. It may be easier now to build a platform that attracts ‘followers’, but it’s harder than ever to build one that keeps them, much less one that germinates a real relationship. The Like/Know/Trust spectrum still applies. Keep sharing your thoughts – I enjoy your insights.

  • I’m with you Dwight- we entrepreneurs have a hard time with patience! The key word after patience is COMPELLLING. Thanks Dave! J

  • Excellent article Dave. As director of a small non-profit this reminds me of the importance of building my platform by adding speaking engagements and exploring new ways to attract ‘followers.’ Merry Christmas to you and your staff!
