Content and conversation form the backbone of disease associations. Content comes in many different forms, including the stories and posts of community members. For the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association, CZ created the organization’s messaging and designed the web site to help the organization’s members and their families find support for their disease.
Most consulting firms are in the idea business. What better way to promote your firm than with original content from the firm’s founders? Such content can be repurposed as blog content for the website , rewritten in article form for associations and other media outlets, and/or published in an ebook format. For Brimstone Consulting, CZ helped design a series of booklets on leadership to promote the firm to its referral sources and clients.
No space is more crowded than the high net worth (HNW) cottage industry that serves wealth management firms, RIAs, and multifamily offices. CZ assisted Inheriting Wisdom, a consulting firm, with a thought-leadership strategy - the creation and publishing of a book on sustaining high net worth families through strategic, multigenerational family conversations. CZ also conducted the PR for the book, landing print and online interviews with the Wall Street Journal and Crain's Chicago Business, and speaking opportunities with the Institute for Private Investors (IPI).
Before social was all the rage, CZ launched a new business called RealityRN, which was sold in 2013. The original vision was an online community of new nurses engaged in a social conversation about the challenges of staying in the profession. Statistics indicated that a significant portion of new graduates leave the profession within a couple years. The online community was designed for conversation and included fresh cartoons, content, and posts by the community. CZ licensed RealityRN to one of the largest healthcare consortiums in North America and consulted with them as they designed their social community.
Several years ago, CZ published Piloting Strategy for a consultant in the business strategy category. CZ walked the author through the thesis development and book structuring phase, and then ghostwrote the book. CZ's work included editorial, design and PR. It was published through CZ's Big Snowy Media imprint. CZ also created the ebook and promoted it on Amazon.
When social was first surfaced in the mid-2000s, CZ designed and implemented a social community for the membership of The Morton Arboretum. One of the largest tree gardens in the world, the Arboretum works to create a greener, healthier, more beautiful world by planting and protecting trees. TreeTalk became the online platform for engaged members to post photos, read articles, and participate in a converation about the mission of the Arboretum.
Our longest running client, BNI (Business Network International) is a global franchising company, with franchises in all of the countries in the developed world. CZ converted its print publication into an online community in 2001. When social emerged in the mid-2000s, CZ added the functionality to the web community. CZ manages all the monthly content creation and editing, and email distribution. When CZ started, the community was less than 8,000. Today it is more than 300,000.
